Sarah writes a weekly column for the local newspaper, as well as commissions for short stories, social media work, and the occasional flurry of blogging.

sarah eatonWhat is one thing that no-one would usually know about you?

People may not realise that I am a Stroke survivor. I had a stroke in my cerebellum when I was 31 years old.

What did the best review you ever had say about you and your work?

My newspaper column one week made several people cry because they had been touched by what I had written. I’d never set out to make people cry but clearly I had managed to write something moving.

Who would you like to play you in a film of your life?

Jodie Foster or Helena Bonham Carter depending on my mood!

Do you have any hints or tips for aspiring writers?

This hint came from a friend. I did it and it helped me so I shall pass it on. Get a book of your tweets printed, there are several services that do this. Seeing my writing in print inside a hard cover was a good motivator.

Tea, Coffee, Water, Juice, Wine or Beer … which do you prefer when writing?

Wine or coffee. Proper, black, filter coffee.
