The Adam Pittaway Interview

adam pittawayWhat is one thing that no-one would usually know about you?

Actually most people don’t realise that I am an author or even that I cook for that matter, I tend to keep these things under my hat. Its not until I invite people over for a dinner party that they realise cooking is one of favourite past times.

How did you choose a title for your book?

The title of my first book actually goes back many years. In high school cookery class my teacher would talk about those who live to eat or just eat to live. This has always remained with me. I believe very strongly that you should eat to live and enjoy food to the utmost.

Have you ever written naked?

Who hasn’t 😉

What is the single biggest challenge you faced when writing your book?

While writing it was very important to me that the recipes were designed to appeal everyone. They needed to clear concise and easy to follow. After several tests and trials I finally developed my steps recipe method.

Do you have any hints or tips for aspiring writers?

The best advice I could give to an aspiring author is just go for it! I never thought I could write and release a book. I actually procrastinated and sat on the idea for years until I plucked up the courage to do it.

Where do you find your inspiration?

I have always loved looking for and cooking with new, exciting and fresh foods and then sharing them with others. An example of this is Verjuice, which is not well known but really is an amazing ingredient.

Tea, Coffee, Water, Juice, Wine or Beer … which do you prefer when writing?

All of the above, but to be honest I do enjoy a glass of wine while putting together my recipes.
