Meeting Jake Findi, author of You’re Either a Dreamer or a Millionaire

Hi everyone, this week I’d like you all to welcome Jake Findi. Jake is the author of You’re either a dreamer or a millionaire, a book about how to improve your life and circumstances. His philosophy is to learn something new every day and is always hunting for new opportunities and ideas. In other words, Jake is a self taught entrepreneur. He believes that giving it a shot is the key to success.

About the book

dreamer or millionaireAccording to the Amazon blurb, if you want to teach someone how to fish, instead of buying him a fishing tackle, buy him this book and you will make a friend for life. This book is a guide to improve your circumstances, your life, your business and your career. Be you a trader, a programmer, a politician, realtor, an entrepreneur, a doctor, a consultant, a teacher or a beautician – there is useful advice that could be helpful to your endeavor. However do not follow all the advice, instead pick and model that which will work for you. Take note of those that suit you and leave those that do not. I don’t promise you heaven on earth.

The Jake Findi Interview

jake findiWhat is one thing that no-one would usually know about you?

I sleeps naked:)

How did you choose a title for your book?

Years ago, i was telling my business partner what i want to achieve in life – be my own boss, have my family and financially independent. He listen to me attentively and when i was done, he said “Jake you are a real dreamer.” I quit to make my dream a reality. As the saying goes “ if you want God to laugh tell him your plans.”

Are there any occupational hazards to being an author?

No.

Do you think there is any elitism attached to the different genres of books, both in the fiction and non-fiction worlds?

I don’t think so. Nature does not deprive anyone from acquiring knowledge. In the same way it does not deprive anyone from implementing it. What is the point? Everyone can become a renowned author from a dysfunctional background; John Grisham is a typical example.

Have you ever written naked?

Yes.

What is the single biggest challenge you faced when writing your book?

How to balance time for working and writing time. I had to allocate time in the evening to write before bedtime.

Do you have any hints or tips for aspiring writers?

The simple word is “It is possible” you may have even failed English before but you can still become the kind of author you want to become. Read, read and read. Reach out to your high potential.

Where do you find your inspiration?

The good book (Bible) , famous industrialist like Henry Ford, authors and speakers such as Dr Norman Vincent Peale, Brian Tracy, Napoleon Hills, Les Brown among others.

What was the most important thing you learned at school?

A curious classmate ask our class teacher whether we could grow to be better than him? The teacher was shock but told us “yes boys you can even be better than your class teacher.” From then as a child knew i could be something else better than a class teacher, but as to what , i had no idea.

What is the strangest thing you have ever had to do to promote a book?

Writing dozens of emails per day to bloggers without a single reply.

Tea, Coffee, Water, Juice, Wine or Beer … which do you prefer when writing?

I drink water while writing , it refreshes my mind.
