Well it’s been an exciting and interesting few months to say the least. I’ve learnt a lot about processes, planning and project development, as well as more about the experiences that women have when they have a hysterectomy and finally, the ‘In My Own Words: Women’s Experience of Hysterectomy‘ project is drawing to its close.

The manuscript is now completed and I’m waiting proof copies of both the paperback and hardback copies from the printers. As soon as they arrive and are checked the order will be made for the pre-publication copies to be sent out to backers.

The e-book versions in PDF, ePub and Mobi (Kindle) formats have all been created and are similarly waiting for the proof copies to be returned with any amendments that need to be made. I’m hoping that they will be winging their way through the ether to their recipients by the end of next week.

And, I’ve just had a despatch confirmation from the tee-shirt manufacturer to say that they have been sent to me which means that they will also be sent on to their new owners next week too.

I also wanted to reveal the cover design for the book. Now, I am a fan of pink and of course I love it, but I hope it reflects the spirit of the book as well.

In My Own Words: Women's Experiences of Hysterectomy

The paperback and eBook versions will be formally published on 31st July 2013 and just as a reminder the isbn numbers are:

  • Paperback: 978-0-9532445-6-0
  • eBook: 978-0-9532445-7-7

They’ll be available in all the usual places online at the end of next month.
