I am on a mission to find the best book bloggers that I can. I recently became not only an author, but also a publisher – and not just of my own work. This means that I am now fascinated by the art of marketing, and although I’ve done quite a bit of it over the years, one of the things I’ve never really got my head around is the online book tour.

So, back to my mission. Over the next few weeks I want to do some research into the best book bloggers of 2012.ย  I plan to come up with a definitive list based on some fairly fixed strict criteria and I wondered if you could help me too.

If you know of a book blogger whose work you like, or if you have worked with a book blogger, I’d really like to know who they are and if you could leave a message below with the name of their blog and it’s URL I would be very grateful indeed.

The criteria I plan to use will include things like Google’s Page Rank, Alexa Ranking, Twitter Accounts and their Activity, Activity on the Blog, Facebook Pages and their Activity, number of followers etc… The reason for doing this is because having your book reviewed by a blogger is great if their activity goes further than their blog.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I have one for you! Jera’s Jamboree. jerasjamboree.wordpress.com Sharon has blogged for a while about books she’s read (and there are a lot) and has recently launched Fiction Addiction Book Tours (of which I am proud to be a tour partner!) The link for that is fictionaddictionbooktours.com
Hope that helps in some way!

  2. These might help, though I read the blogs and haven’t worked with them – they might at least lead you somewhere good, most of the blogs are tour hosts and you can follow the buttons to get to the tour pages. ๐Ÿ™‚
    1. Just started working with First Rule Publicity book tours http://www.firstrulepublicity.com – they are only a couple months old though
    2. Cuddlebuggery – I think they do mostly YA books, but they seem to have a huge following, snarky and hilarious, though they will trash things if they don’t like it, really fun to read though. http://cuddlebuggery.com
    3. http://littlehyuts.blogspot.com/ – though she hasn’t been blogging in Nov, Jill Marie does mostly indie stuff and has an awesome blog
    4. http://bookedandloaded.wordpress.com/ – she writes really well and seems to always have a tour coming through
    5. http://thebookpushers.com/ – mainly romance and urban fantasy
    6. http://pnrurbanfantasyreviews.blogspot.com/ – urban fantasy, paranormal and romance
    7. http://readingandwritingurbanfantasy.blogspot.com/ – paranormal, YA, urban fantasy, romance – lots of tour stops

    1. Those are some great resources there and thanks for letting me know about them – I have to say even just some of the names are making me smile ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. You are welcome ๐Ÿ™‚ I know, some of those names are awesome!

      2. I must admit to being a bit in awe actually – it’ll be interesting to see which ones actually end up making it out of my ‘wash’ at the end of the day.
