I can’t believe how long it is since I last posted to my blog, and so much has happened as well.  I have to admit though, that I was incredibly stressed before my holiday last week and trying to keep up with my blog as well as everything else was just proving too much to bear.

And so to the present.  I have just come back from a wonderful holiday in the South of France staying at a medieval hill top village called Mougins.  I explored the coastal resorts of Cannes, Antibes, Juan les Pins and Port Grimaud and were less than impressed.  I suppose I had expected them all to be something extra special because of their association with the ‘jet set’ and Hollywood.  But to be honest they were just a little tacky and exactly the same as every other large town or coastal resort in France, the only thing that distinguished them were the yachts, every shape, size and colour (almost!).

But, Monaco, well that was something else, and a place we have decided we rather like, in fact we could spend a month there.  And St Paul near Vence is just beautiful.

The weather was warm and sunny for the vast majority of the week, but not warm enough to swim in the outdoor pool, although I did test it by sitting on the side with dangling legs, before giving it up as a bad job and heading back onto the balcony for another little drinkie and a good read before dinner.

I’m still trying out my God experiment, when I remember – it is amazing just how much you can’t hang on to when you are stressed!
