I don’t know whether I’ve actually said anything about Mowgli yet. If I have and you already know, then I apologise if I’m repeating myself, if not then here’s the update. Mowgli is actually The Mowgli Foundation, a charity founded by a guy called Tony Bury last year, with the express aim of alleviating poverty in the Middle East. The way Tony envisages achieving this lofty ambition though is an interesting one, it’s through mentoring entrepreneurs based in the Middle East, so that they can create jobs and improve local economies. LinkedIn Made Easy and a Kiva Update
22 MaySome time ago, you may well remember, I undertook a challenge to raise money for charity through the sale of my ebook, LinkedIn Made Easy. Whilst I didn’t reach the dizzy heights I’d hoped to, I did raise a reasonable amount and it has now all be distributed. (more…)
What about the money?

The original project ended on 23rd December 2010. During the project, 40% of all money raised was given to one of three charities, The Hysterectomy Association, Kiva or the BCCT. Since the end of the project, 40% of the profits still go to charity.
Quite a few people have been asking me what exactly is going to happen to the money that is raised through the sale of LinkedIn Made Easy so I thought I’d try to expand on it a little more than I have done elsewhere: (more…)
Inclusive Capitalism
22 NovI’ve had some really interesting conversations today by email with some pretty amazing people both on, and off, LinkedIn. As I hope has become already evident, my overall aim with everything I do, is to empower people to do things for themselves. It’s the reason I picked the charities to work with that I did and the reason The Hysterectomy Association works the way it does; and it’s also the reason why I work the way I do with Grow A Better Business. Diamonds in the desert of Cancer
13 JunSome of you may already know that my cousin Alex has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and an incredibly rare one at that. What you may not know, is just how amazing Alex is because instead of giving in and giving up, she’s decided that there is a Silver Lining to Every Cloud, and as such has launched ‘Alex’s Silver Lining Appeal’ to try and raise £5,000 for a tiny charity that rescues horses and ponies based in the Brecon Beacons.
