The 3rd Edition of LinkedIn Made Easy has now been completed and, before I start a whole load of marketing activity, I’m looking for some LinkedIn Guinea Pigs to help me out. If you’d like to know more about how to use this professional network then I’d love to hear from you.
What I’d like, is to give copies of the e-book to people who are serious about using LinkedIn more effectively. You don’t have to be on the network to start with, and you don’t need to be using it much to benefit from the book; at least that’s what I’m told. But, you do need to be open to working through the book and making the changes it suggests to both your profile, and your activity. If you do complete the process then I’ll be sending you a paperback copy as a thank you too.
In return, I’d like some feedback, perhaps a review or recommendation, and for you to take part in a short questionnaire before and after about your use of LinkedIn.
The book isn’t onerous to read, it could be done in a few hours, but the application of it will take some time. If you have some time to spare to try the network out then do get in touch.
How to Get Involved
If you’d like to get involved leave me a message below or email me linda@internet-mentor.co.uk. Then complete the survey you can find here: LinkedIn Use Survey, it shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete.
The 3rd edition has been completely revised and re-written with all the latest changes to the network in mind. It covers:
- what you need to know about creating a strategy for its use
- how to set up an account
- what your profile is used for and why it matters
- the advanced profile elements such as Rich Media
- how to use groups
- how to craft effective status updates
- how to search the network for relevant, interesting material
- what a connection strategy is and how to manage your connections
- the concept of LinkedIn Company Pages and how useful they are
Together, with a whole host of other hints and tips it should make your time on LinkedIn really effective indeed.
Hi Linda. I’d love to take part in this. I do have a LinkedIn profile and am ‘responsible’ for my company’s profile (my husband and I run our own business) but I am a very basic user and think that this would be an ideal opportunity to improve my knowledge and use as well as helping you.
Thanks for getting back to me Elaine, the first thing to do is complete the survey here: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/1153634/LinkedIn-Use-Survey and let me know which reading device you have (Kindle, ePub or PDF). I’ll send you a file for the right one and when we are done in about a month I’ll post a paperback to you as well to say thank you
I use a Kindle.
Hi Elaine, I’ve just sent an email with the Kindle version attached for you
Hi Linda
I haven’t received the email yet. Any chance you could resend please.
Thanks
Hi Elaine, I sent the email earlier today, hopefully it’s arrived this time
Hi Linda. Email received…thanks
Sorry Linda, I should also have said that I’ve completed the survey.
I’d love to learn more – I have a LinkedIn profile but am a bit useless on it … this sounds like a win-win situation and I would much like to take part.
Hi Susan, the first thing to do is complete the survey here: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/1153634/LinkedIn-Use-Survey and let me know which reading device you have (Kindle, ePub or PDF). forgot to say I use a Kindle for reading only; use my Macbook for all other communications.
I started a profile there a decade ago, and haven’t updated since. If you need a test subject I could assist, although I would prefer to be a guinea fowl.

Hope you got my reply Bill and if I can help out at all let me know

I wouldn’t mind finding out how to use it better. I have a profile but am clueless on what to do now. I’ve had a profile for a couple of years now. Thanks for this amazing opportunity Linda!
You’re welcome Jackie. Great! I’ll go do it right now. Thanks again
Perfect Jackie, don’t forget to let me know the e-book version you’d prefer when you’re done with the survey.
Oh right. I have a Sony ereader or a KindlePC. Either one will do. I finished the survey. Thanks Linda
Hi Linda, I am at the point where I am ready to get going on LinkedIn. So if I am not disqualified by being a friend I would love to give the PDF version a test drive. I’ll pop over and take the survey now.
Plunging into organising my life in 2013 with links to socialising on the media wave. Just set up a blog ‘space2play’ and thrown caution to the wintry wind with a first post. With linkedin, website, and facebook already on the go and raring to show the world a cohesive well dressed profile I would soooo benefit from learning more about how and why and who. Can I join in please?
I also should have said I completed the survey last evening.
It’s good to have you on board, can you let me know the version you need and your first name please too
Hi Lynda, just sent a linked in request and completed the survey. I am keen to find out how to use linked in and will follow your book. I am a kindle user.
I’ve just sent you an email with the book attached in .mobi format for the Kindle.
